Greta Paun, MD
MANAGING PARTNER
Greta is the founder of Rotrial Contract Research CRO. She is an experienced clinical research professional with a profound knowledge of Romanian CRO and Pharmaceutical industry. Her clinical research experience spans more than a decade within international pharmaceutical environment and currently her own organisation, covering all aspects of Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance. Before founding Rotrial Contract Research she has increasingly more responsible positions in the pharmaceutical industry, working in an international environment for the Romanian Operative Unit of Boehringer Ingelheim where she was in different leadership positions: Medical Director, Medico Marketing Manager, Medical Manager and Product Manager. Previously she has worked as a Research Medical Doctor on national studies on Asthma & COPD at the National Institute of Pneumology in Bucharest, Romania. Greta is experienced working in both pharmaceutical and CRO environments successfully managing many full-service global trials across different phases and therapeutic areas. With over 7 years experience in Quality Assurance, Greta is a sharp and accomplished individual with excellent awareness of current GCP regulations. She is now in the position of Managing Partner at Rotrial Contract Research.
Andrei Stoicescu, MD, MBA
MANAGING PARTNER
Andrei has over 10 years experience in life sciences, being in executive management positions in different operational roles within international pharmaceutical companies and having an extensive expertise in different therapeutic areas: cardiovascular diseases, central nervous system and respiratory diseases and disorders, anti-infective (including HIV/AIDS), immunology, allergy, vaccination, diabetes, arthritis, pain management, gastrointestinal disorders and urology. After his University Degree in Odontology he joined Glaxo Wellcome Romania, managing the sales department on a regional level and subsequently on a national level. Later he joined Boehringer Ingelheim where he held different management positions in field force and business development, finally holding the position of General Manager at the Romanian Operative unit of Boehringer Ingelheim. Within these positions, Andrei gained invaluable international experience within a multitude of areas including training & development, people management, business development and strategic account management. He is now in the position of Managing Partner at Rotrial Contract Research.
Christo Ikonomov, MD
PARTNER, Head of Rotrial Contract Research operations in Bulgaria
Christo has over 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a deep understanding of Bulgarian life-science market. He completed his medical studies at Medical Academy in Sofia. After following an initial 5 years practice as GP doctor in Bulgaria, he joined Expomed drug wholesaler, holding more responsible positions in the sales department. After 2 more years he joined Boehringer Ingelheim where he was Head of Operative unit in Bulgaria, position held successfully for 15 years. At Boehringer Ingelheim Bulgaria Christo was responsible for directing all business matters through systematic planning, implementation and control of a mix of marketing, sales, medical & regulatory, logistics, finance and IT activities. Now he is Partner at Rotrial Contract Research and Head of our operations in Bulgaria.
